任 海,中国科学院华南植物园研究员、博士生导师。主要从事南亚热带森林生态系统和珍稀濒危植物种群的生态恢复研究,发现了南亚热带典型人工林下乡土树种定居限制机理及初步解除对策,首次利用生物技术和生态恢复技术实现了报春苣苔等国家一级珍稀濒危植物的野外回归。主编主要著作有《恢复生态学导论》《科学植物园建设的理论与实践》《恢复生态学导论(第2版)》《Plantations: Biodiversity,Carbon Sequestration,and Restoration》等,先后在国内外发表研究论文80余篇。
作为中国科学院华南植物园科研团队历时近5年研究成果,《华南海岸带乡土植物及其生态恢复利用》在对华南海岸带植被和物种多样性研究的基础上,根据本区域土壤条件、气候状况、植被现状和乡土植物的特点特性,分析了用于营林的外来树种的特点,筛选出165种用于恢复不同海岸带地质和土壤条件的乔灌草乡土物种。
全书专业性强,具有非常强的学术价值和实用价值,对海岸带生态恢复实践,保持社会的和谐稳定,维护生态安全具有重要意义。
